St. Gabriel’s Retreat Center is an outreach in ministry of the Passionist contemplative community of St. Gabriel’s monastery. We provide this sacred place to those people of all faiths who feel ever more keenly a desire to seek and encounter God. Here, the Paschal Mystery of Jesus, “the greatest and most overwhelming work of God’s love” is held as a particular value.
We are dedicated to the unfolding revelation of God at the center of all creation and of all human experience. We foster an awareness of the harmony of the total earth community which flows from contemplative prayer. We pledge to educate and nourish all with whom we come in contact in the meaning and power of the Passion of Jesus today and the 21st century.
These retreats consist of conferences on the spiritual life, time for personal reflection, prayer service, opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and community liturgies. They begin about 7:00 PM on Friday evening. Departure is after the Noon meal on Sunday. No meals are served on Friday.

First Communion Day of Reflection
This experience is designed to enable the children to celebrate this wonderful time in their young lives. The day begins at 9:00 AM and concludes at 1:30 PM. The children participate in prayer, discussion and sharing. There is a tour of the Altar Bread Department where the hosts/breads are made. This is a wonderful experience for the children to see the actual process for baking the bread and the day enriches their understanding of Eucharist. A hot lunch is also served. Call the office for scheduling and information.
FEE: $10.00 per child

St. Gabriel's makes its facilities available to educational, business, civic, religious (all denominations) and
professional groups for their programs. There are thirty-five private rooms available. Twelve rooms can be doubled for a total capacity of 47 people. Please contact the Program director for current rates and available dates.
FEE: $65-$70 per person per day.
Deposit required based on number of expected guests.
The asking fees of St. Gabriel's programs reflect the rising prices, and yet do not cover actual costs. Income from retreats and conference fees account for less than 60% of our operating expenses. Because of this shortfall, we are very grateful to those who might contribute more than the asking fee. Some persons may be unable to contribute the asking fee. If this is your case, please contact the office to see what arrangements might be worked out. Again, no one will be turned away.
All deposits are Tax deductible and non-refundable. They are applied to the administrative costs of registration.
